mars Heres your chance to explore Mars

NASA has released a billion-pixel view of the surface area of Mars where the Mars Rover Curiosity is working. It’s an amazing panorama that allows you to zoom in on individual rocks or even the details of mountains far in the distance. (My favourite view is to zoom in on Curiosity’s tire tracks in the sand — our proxy footprints on the red planet.)

The panorama is the next best thing to being there in person. Actually, it’s probably the best thing, give that you keep on breathing from the safety of your computer monitor. Check it out now and see if you can be the first person to discover alien life hidden among the pixels.

For more details, read the full NASA press release.
